Kim specialises in computer implemented inventions and has particular interests in machine learning, image processing and data analysis. Kim handles applications of these technologies in the medical imaging, consumer devices and telecoms fields amongst others. She is a founding member of Haseltine Lake Kempner’s AI Group and enjoys working with her clients to find the best possible ways to protect their inventions.
Before joining HLK, Kim did a PhD in Astrophysics which gives her a solid grounding in image processing and data analysis in particular. She also spent some time running a tech start-up that relied heavily on its IP. This gives her a unique insight into the IP needs of her clients.
