Our people are at the heart of everything we do
Life at HLK
We’re driven by the same things you are: progress, innovation and finding ‘a better way’.
Our ethos is centred on delivering great client service, which is only possible in partnership with each and every one of our colleagues. That’s why we recruit talented, committed people who care about service quality and help us build excellent, long-standing client relationships.
In return, we offer an inclusive and collaborative work environment where your voice is heard, and your ideas are valued. Our dynamic teams across Bristol, Glasgow, Leeds, London, and Munich benefit from a supportive and friendly culture that fosters innovation and teamwork.
Your day-to-day work will vary, and you’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of clients, located in the UK, Germany and further afield. Our clients include many well-known household names and industrial giants that are at the forefront of technological development in the electronics, engineering, automotive, chemical, life sciences and biotechnology sectors. We also take pride in working with start-ups and SMEs across many sectors, helping the next generations of businesses to flourish.
We believe in rewarding hard work with competitive financial benefits and a comprehensive benefits package, ensuring that you are continually challenged and supported in your professional growth and personal development. Our work has a significant international element, extending our reach across Europe and beyond, offering exciting opportunities for collaboration and travel.
We also provide clear career progression paths, with ample development opportunities designed to help you grow and advance in your career. Whether it’s through training, mentorship, or hands-on experience, we are committed to helping you achieve your full potential while being part of a thriving and forward-thinking organisation.
Diversity
HLK has an unwavering commitment to diversity and maintaining an inclusive working environment in which everyone can fulfil their potential and maximise their contribution. Our colleague led working groups on D&I and Mental Health were established not only to ensure that every person within HLK enjoys a sense of belonging, but is also treated fairly and respectfully. According to 2019 colleague satisfaction survey, 81.25% of colleagues said they thought HLK was a good place to work.
As one of the earliest Charter signatories of ‘IP Inclusive’, an industry-wide group aiming to raise awareness and improve equality, diversity and inclusivity in the IP community, we take this commitment seriously. Our leadership team actively participate in IP Inclusive’s senior leaders’ diversity think tank and are proud to make the following pledges. To this end we run bi-annual Progress And Contribution Talks (PACTs) for all colleagues, that not only identify and prioritise training and development opportunities, but actively seek insights from colleagues about how we can remain their employer of choice.
