About Rachel

Rachel is a UK Trade Mark Attorney and brand protection specialist who loves working with businesses to protect some of their most important assets – their brands. Rachel has extensive experience in the management of global IP portfolios, trade mark availability searching, advice relating to the protection and exploitation of trade marks, filing and prosecuting trade mark and design applications, as well as the handling of disputes before trade mark registries. She has particular experience with clients in the luxury fashion, retail, FMCG, financial and technology sectors.

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Rachel is recognised as a Next Generation Lawyer and Rising Star for Intellectual Property in The Legal 500, with client’s commenting that she is ‘…highly organised, efficient and knowledgeable…’ and ‘technically strong and very responsive, being available at short notice’.

Before joining HLK in 2022, Rachel headed the trade mark prosecution team at her previous firm and she has gained experience by working in an international law firm, a national law firm and a trade mark and patent attorney firm. Rachel qualified as a trade mark attorney through examination in 2011, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (CITMA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), Marques and the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
