About Joanne

As Head of Operations, Joanne uses the wealth of knowledge she has built up over her 16 years in the IP sector to develop our business operations. With a focus on reviewing and improving our internal processes and procedures, we aim to give the best possible experience for clients and colleagues, whilst continuing to operate in a safe and secure way.

Joanne joined HLK in 2006 as a Trainee Patent Administrator in the Chemistry and Life Sciences team and achieved the CIPA Certificate in Patent Administration in 2007. Increasing her knowledge and experience, she was made a Senior Patent Administrator in 2012 and became Patent Administration Manager in the Bristol Tech Team in 2016. Joanne has been committed to supporting her teams, developing best practice, sharing her experience and helping colleagues develop in their roles. In 2022, Joanne was promoted to Head of Operations.
