Lauren is skilled in assimilating new information and is highly adaptable to the ever-changing technological landscape. With a scientific background in physics and quantum materials, Lauren has experience in drafting and prosecuting UK and European patent applications relating to a wide range of physics, electronics and communication-based technologies.
Lauren joined Haseltine Lake Kempner in 2019 after completing a PhD in the Quantum and Soft Matter group at the University of Bristol. During her PhD she researched unconventional superconductivity using neutron and X-ray scattering techniques. She also worked in the university's Research Commercialisation team where she helped academics protect and commercialise their ideas.
Before her PhD, Lauren completed a Master's degree in physics at the University of Oxford. She worked in the Superconducting Quantum Devices group and was awarded the Gibbs Prize for the best experimental MPhys project.
Throughout her studies, Lauren enjoyed sharing her enthusiasm for science and technology by presenting interactive outreach shows at public events and providing workshops in local schools.
