About Katharine

Katharine joined HLK in 2019 as an Assistant Trade Mark Administrator, quickly progressing to Trade Mark Paralegal and passing the CITMA Paralegal course in 2022. Katharine works closely with attorneys and solicitors to manage a wide range of client portfolios in the fields of fashion, software, finance and interior design, amongst others.

Katharine oversees the filing and prosecution of trade marks and designs in the UK, EU and internationally. Katharine assists our Legal team with litigation matters such as trade mark and design infringement, and has extensive experience with Company Names Tribunal actions as well as liaising with Customs officials and law enforcement agents regarding counterfeit goods.

Katharine plays an active role in the review and development of the firm’s software and internal procedures, with a keen eye for streamlining processes and maximising efficiency in all areas. Katharine also carries out training with new team members and contributes to the maintenance of internal work resources.

Prior to joining HLK, Katharine graduated from Royal Holloway, University of London with a First with Distinction in Spanish. She speaks fluent Spanish, having twice lived in Spain teaching English as a British Council Language Assistant.
