Haseltine Lake Kempner Announces its New Partnership with Converge

Haseltine Lake Kempner is proud to announce its new partnership with Converge – Scotland’s largest company creation and enterprise programme for the university sector. Created to bridge the gap from business ideation to commercialisation, Converge has supported 500 entrepreneurs and the creation of more than 300 companies since it launched in 2011. The 2022 Converge programme promises to be bigger than ever, with new categories and more places, with the largest prize pot available in its 11-year history.

Applications for the 2022 Converge programme opened recently and, through the new link with Converge, Haseltine Lake Kempner will be providing IP support to successful applicants as they seek to take their business concepts through to commercial realisation.

The partnership with Converge continues Haseltine Lake Kempner’s long-standing record of supporting some of the leading UK and global universities in their quest to protect and realise the commercial value of their research and innovation. It also demonstrates the firm’s commitment to supporting the Scottish universities sector, their spinouts and start-ups creating a positive impact for Scotland.

Magnus Johnston, Lead Partner in the firm’s Glasgow office, said: “We are thrilled to play our part in supporting and developing Scotland’s next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs via our involvement with Converge as their exclusive Intellectual Property partner. We are also looking forward to working alongside an impressive roster of industry partners. Good luck to all the applicants!”
