AI application spotlight | Meet Grem

Grem, the plush alien, has landed. Co-designed by Grimes (yes, that Grimes), this toy might look like the standard teddy bear fair, but this one talks back. Marketed as a more stimulating and wholesome alternative to screen-time, Grem employs OpenAI technology to answer questions, play word games, and tell bedtime stories, all whilst learning its owner’s personality and preferences to tailor its conversations.

It’s basically ChatGPT in a furry costume (and with an aggressive filter that steers children away from sensitive topics). Give it a couple of years and we might have a real-life toy story on our hands.
