World Mental Health Day 2022

Today marks World Mental Health Day, observed on 10 October annually, and this year the World Federation for Mental Health has set “Make mental health & wellbeing for all a global priority” as the theme.

Over the last year we have seen mental health impacted by health emergencies, natural disasters, conflicts and economic changes. At the same time, getting access to mental health services has become more challenging than ever before.

It is important that we all continue to give focus and value to mental health as individuals and within our communities. We can each make a difference, by caring for our own mental health, supporting each other and speaking out for change for all.

We have taken this opportunity to remind ourselves of the “five ways to wellbeing”. Looking at the importance of connection, physical activity, taking notice, learning new skills and kindness, in how we feel in ourselves and as part of the world around us.

At HLK we continue with our focus to provide a considerate and creative workplace, where all colleagues feel safe and supported. We share resources and stories to raise awareness and reduce stigma. This year we have also enjoyed spending time in the office together again and collaborating in person, whilst continuing to enjoy the capabilities we now have to connect more easily with all colleagues across our offices.
