Jordan joined Haseltine Lake Kempner in March 2019 as a solicitor, having qualified in 2018 at a boutique intellectual property firm in Leeds. She has a first class honours degree in Law from Leeds Beckett University. She also has a distinction in her Master of Laws degree from the same institution.
Jordan assists the partners in the Trade Marks and Litigation Teams. She has experience of proceedings in both the High Court and the Intellectual Property and Enterprise Court for Claimants and Defendants alike, covering patents, designs (registered and unregistered), trade marks, copyright, and breach of confidence. Other contentious work she has done includes breach of undertakings in respect of trade mark infringement and breach of trade mark licence provisions. She has experience in dealing with litigation procedure and practice, such as attending interim application hearings and mediations. As well as litigation, Jordan provides advice on comparative advertising in accordance with ASA rules.
Jordan also works on non-contentious matters which include drafting licences, assignments and collaboration agreements. She assists with watching services for clients on their trade mark portfolios and trade mark registry matters, such as oppositions at the UK and EUIPO.
She is an active member of our internal Designs Group having previously worked on litigation involving both registered and unregistered designs. She is also a member of our Diversity and Inclusion Group.
