About Chris

Chris is an Associate in the Electronics and Communications team in London. Chris has a great deal of experience in European and UK patent prosecution and drafting in a wide range of fields within electronics and communications. Chris predominantly focusses on advising on and prosecuting the patent portfolios of large multinational corporations, across many technical subject areas.

Chris’ experience in prosecution and drafting extends to a broad range of technology areas including telecommunications, signal processing, electronic circuitry, personal devices, control systems, digital healthcare, software related patents, standards related patents, distributed computing, microelectronics, image processing and semiconductor technology. Chris’ knowledge and experience of a broad range of technology areas is particularly beneficial when dealing with and advising on inventions that span multiple fields of technology. It is this diverse and expansive nature of his work that Chris enjoys the most. He also values opportunities to extend his knowledge into further technical fields.

Chris joined Haseltine Lake Kempner in September 2013 after graduating from the University of Leeds with a First Class Honours Master's Degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. This degree gave Chris the detailed understanding of many engineering subjects which has provided the basis for much of his work at Haseltine Lake Kempner. Chris qualified as a UK and European Patent Attorney in 2017.

Outside of work, Chris’ interests include fitness, football (watching rather than playing) and spending time with friends.
