In recognition of the considerable challenges being presented by COVID-19, the EUIPO Executive Director has announced that the Office has decided to extend all deadlines falling between 9 March and 30 April to 1 May 2020. This is a welcome safety net, but (subject to client requirements) Haseltine Lake Kempner is continuing to treat, and meet, deadlines as when they originally fell, to avoid any potential backlog.
Meanwhile at HLK, a comprehensive contingency plan has been put in place so that the health and wellbeing of staff members can be safeguarded in line with government advice, whilst enabling us to continue delivery high quality service to our clients even in the event one or more of its offices needs to close in the future.
